Olanrewaju Meeks, DMD,MS

Periodontist

Dr. Meeks began her higher education on the island of Bermuda where she obtained an Associate Degree in Arts & Science at the Bermuda College. She proceeded to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Jacksonville State University (JSU) in Alabama, followed by a certificate in critical care nursing at the George Brown College in Ontario Canada. Her experience as a critical care nurse and passion for disease prevention and maintenance of health led her to the growing body of evidence pointing to an association between oral and systemic health. Her quest for knowledge in this growing field led her to dentistry. She attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham where she earned a degree in Dental Medicine in 2017.

After graduating, she worked as a general dentist in Alabama. She then completed a 3-year residency program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences (OUHSC), where she earned a certificate of advanced education in Periodontics. During her time at OUHSC, she also completed research on the association between periodontal disease and thyroid dysfunction and earned her Master’s Degree in Science from the Graduate School. Dr. Meeks enjoys using new techniques that increase patient comfort and provide a positive experience. She is a Pinhole Certified Periodontist, which allows her to provide a suture and blade-free procedure for correcting recession.

Dr. Meeks is also qualified to administer oral and intravenous moderate sedation for dental anxiety. Her goal is to improve patient health and quality of life by providing oral health education to enable patients to retain their natural teeth as long as possible and providing high-quality periodontal care to relaxed patients, in a calm and pleasant environment. Her professional affiliations include membership in the American Academy of Periodontology, Southwest Society of Periodontics, and the American Dental Association, which keep her abreast of the latest innovations in periodontics, dental implants, and facial esthetics procedures. In her spare time, Dr. Meeks enjoys traveling, reading, learning about new technologies, and spending time with her husband and teenage daughter.

Andrew Xu, DDS,MS

Board Certified Endodontist

Dr. Xu moved to the United States at the age of sixteen to pursue his academic and professional dreams. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southern Nazarene University before going on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the College of Dentistry at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. He then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the same institution, where he honed his clinical skills and deepened his knowledge of dentistry.

After six years of practicing general dentistry, Dr. Xu decided to pursue his true calling as an endodontist. He went on to complete specialty training for his Certificate of Endodontics and then earned his Master of Science in Endodontics from The School of Dentistry at West Virginia University.

Dr. Xu's commitment to excellence in patient care is evident in his status as a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, which he earned after completing rigorous examinations. He takes pride in providing his patients with the highest level of care possible and remains dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in endodontics. Outside of his professional work, Dr. Xu enjoys spending time with his family and exploring his local community.
